A normal fault *aka extentional fault* is when the crust is extended and the block above moves down to the block below. 

A reverse fault is *opposite of a normal fault* when the block above the fault moves up. It's caused by compressional forces which result's in shortening.

A thrust fault *aka reverse faults* is when it dips less than 45 degrees, so the so the overlying block moves nearly horizontally over the underlying block. 

A strike-slip fault is when the movement of the blocks along the fault is horizontal. Left lateral and right lateral may be included in this fault. If the left far side moved to the left it would be called left lateral, but if the right far side moves to the right it is called right lateral.
