"The theatrical elements that Don adds to the stage are a backdrop of a “beautiful sunset”, “mist from the distant mountains” (fog machine), colored lights (that represented the moon light and other things) , a ladder as “her balcony”, a lot more  lights, and a “soft summer breeze” (courtesy of the stage fan). These elements change the stage/scene because it makes the setting of the scene more meaningful and romantic. I think the lights have the biggest impact, because it has the spotlight on certain points. For example, around 44:34, when Kathy and Don start dancing into the different lights, the pinkish red lights add a more romantic feel to it, because red is the color of love and passion. So i feel like the lights had a big impact."
