first, select a name for your dance company. then briefly explain the general theme or story line behind the performance. afterwards, describe the music you would choose. will there be a particular theme song, artist, or general music genre (etc. classical, hip hop, or pop) that you are basing the choreography around? what type of dance will be used in your performance? next, consider the scenery. how will you arrange the stage? what is the setting, location, or place of a particular scene or act in the performance? will the dancers be using props or dancing around any objects? in addition, think about the costumes you have designed. create a sketch or find a picture of at least one costume that will be used in the performance. think about the colors and designs you have selected. be able to explain the reason why you have selected the piece and how it goes with the theme / story line of the performance. attach a scanned copy of the sketch or cut and paste an example you may have found on the internet to the assignment.

be sure to type your answer in essay format in a word document. the assignment should be at least 2 paragraphs of approximately 4-5 sentences each. your response should be well organized, logical, and include many supporting details that answer the questions above. if a viewer were to read your essay, they should be able to know what questions i asked above without actually having to read the assignment.
