Why do you think studying art history is so important? What can it tell us about past cultures?

Art history is important because, we can learn different writings that they wrote on walls, but just with pictures.

By looking at a work of art's symbolism, colors, and materials, we can learn about the culture that produced it. We also can compare artwork, which provides different perspectives, and gives us a well-rounded way of looking at events, situations, and people.

studying art history is sooo important! every artist that we learn about has contributed new methods and ideas in art, considering that they were all unique in their ways. this allows us to connect ideas and inspire us to make our own. art that is created is reflected by the culture it is surrounded by. the Harlem Rennaisance brought about many paintings and drawings featuring African American culture. During the French Rennaissance, many people such as Leonardo were inspired to design many things. Art history shows provides insight into the lives of those who lived in a certain time, considering that history itself always changes.
