What was found at the site of Igbo Ukwu? Why was it an important archeological find?

The Igbo  Ukwu site  has contained an elite burial and shrine  . It has   held the earliest known examples of copper alloy or a type of  bronze casting in  Saharan Africa. The site  has  increased the  historians' understanding of the  art and the  culture or cultures  of the  west  african civilizations.
