Who do artists pass their knowledge to others

Hi,is this statement true or false?   descendants of the inca and maya use modern techniques rather than keeping their ancient culture alive by making weavings based on traditional weavings.-false the mayans and incas both continue traditional methods as well as modern.

Maybe because it was so unique, a form of art, and they could easily store things in it and no one had ever done that before. i’m not sure but that’s what i think : )
