So I am starting to play the alto saxophone at my school. I have a assignment and it is to get a noise out of the saxophone. Every time I blow in it I just hear the air go through. I am not sure if it is because the reed is to high or low. Or if it is the position I am in. I just need a noise to come out of it. Anyways no one will probably answer my question lol.

You sure you have all you things for it? I used to play saxophone but I hardly remember anything..Maybe ask a band director or a friend?? I'd have to see it in order to know
