In your opinion is Minimalism an effective style of music to be used for films? Explain why Short paragraph needed asap

Minimalism could potentially be used for films but only in certain circumstances. There are films in which it would go terribly (ie. action, drama) It could potrntially go into a horror or mystery film if the main point of the film is dialoge. In any genre or film in which music is not meant to contribute excessively to a film and is only meant to cover the silence of the moment, it has a potential possibiliy to be used in films.
