explain the relationship between an art gallery and an artists

Hi im glad i can help you! When an artist is represented by a gallery, he or she has to pay a part of the profit as commission for every sold artwork. The amount varies from gallery to gallery and is usually decided upon by both parties and drafted into a secure contract.  Please mark!!

This project consisted of a two year investigation into the overarching concept of the relationship between the artist, audience and artwork.

Inspired by Roland Barthes writings of the Death Of The Author I started to dissect, with using a performative methodology, the framework to understand my involvement in art and through breaking the framework down, I began to create a series of performances that looked at a specific power relationship. these performances were:

My intention was to investigate into the relationship between the artis, audience and the artwork I purposely chose to look at performance, and, in particular, the involvement of the artist (body) as I wanted to physically involve myself in this personal dialogue between the artist and the audience. This allowed me to engage with the audience through a non-verbal dialogue. This relationship can be both personal and impersonal conversation of judgments and expectations. Throughout the exploration into performance I constructed a series of investigations that evolved around the relationship between the artist and the audience.
