sketches and paintings are both forms of artwork done by the artist.

they are quite diffrent though sketchs are a rough draft of a peice of work.

paintings are artwork done with paint brushs and diffrent technic's, they could be vividly colorful or black in white its up to the artist.

What is Art?

There are different types of art. Sketches and paintings being some of them. Sketches are like rough drafts. There usually done in a short matter of time and look uncompleted. Paintings are used with paint (watercolor, acrylic, oil, others) It takes more time and is usually more colorful. Both types of art can relay meanings aswell.
