Not sure if you still need help with this, but I'd love to if you still do. 

I believe what this question is asking is to compare a continuous light source to one that isn't continuous, such as a flash on a camera. Since a flash only goes off while the picture is being taken, you can't see the shadows/highlights of the photograph beforehand. With a continuous light source, you can see the lighting conditions before taking the picture. 

I would say this sentence is true.
