What do you think the olympic games were like? how do you think they were similar to today's games, and how do you think they were different?

the first olympic games were the largest and most elaborate festivals. they took place in a stadium built in the city of olympia. where only men could compete in these contests. it's the same process as today really, compete with another team to win a trophy/prize. but its different because in the earlier years women weren't allowed to compete in the olympics, but now since times have changed- both men and women are able to compete.
