The problem with labeling a whole group or race of people as predisposed to crime is that the majority are not criminals. The very fact that not all men with crooked noses became criminals would seem to disprove Lombroso’s theories outright. How did Konrad Lorenz attempt to explain the good behavior of some who Darwin taught were ‘less evolved’? A. He said that when put in difficult circumstances, these inborn instincts would come out.
