Another question for guitarists and/or other musicians... I'm wanting to start a band that's a mix between heavy metal and prog metal (Maybe a mix of TOOL and Metallica). I play a lot of leads on guitar and I started playing 3 years ago. I'm wanting to start a band that can make it out of high school and maybe into a full blown band. Any tips? I'd like it to be one guitarist (Me), a drummer, vocalist, and bassist (Possibly another guitarist that does vocals and rhythm guitar).

i think its a great idea. i'm a guitar player and have a small band with my friends. u need to find a group of ppl u like working with, and sound good together. then start playing for fun and making ur own music. then u can start playing at local restaurant, or town fairs, or something small. as u keep doing that ppl will ask u to play for them at events. u start getting bigger and bigger, then BOOM. your a big time band.
