(RANT) and am i in the wrong? Anyone else here have disgustingly impulsive parents?

So, situation. I feel like my parents, specifically my dad is incredibly inconsistent with rules and, like actual morals. Also for context it feels like he is so like nice and sane one moment (he heard i like to draw and now he lets me use his ipad for digital art) but sometimes he’s just so nasty with such an inefficient attitude towards everyone even if they did *absolutely* nothing. Sometimes his phases and mood swings get so unbearable i just wish he would leave this household and not come back. But the thing is every time i feel like that i feel guilty because I’m still holding on to the kind and generous things he did at some point.

Maybe a couple weeks ago, i sat on the same couch as my brother when he had his headphones on and watching whatever animes that are too old for him and idc, I’m on my phone and I’m not interacting with him but then he starts to whine at me like “go away” and then my dad came upstairs because he heard my brother crying like a baby. He said something along the lines of “Ever since you entered this room (my brother’s name) has been sad. Leave him alone”. And then i was like thinking in my head, wow, every time someone enters the same room as me i can whine about it and then they have to go away? Sweet.

I later found out that this only applies to my younger siblings.

Basically what happened today is that he yelled at me for asking my brother(in a moderately annoyed tone) for my brother to stop harassing me and to leave me alone(he kept making this high pitched sound he knows i can hear, spitting at me) and he told ME to leave. My. Brother. Alone. And when i protest using the “i was here minding my business and then brother started to bother me” i get sent to my room…
