One pro for working for a conglomerate includes buying many separated companies and making them into one large company where they will share large equipment and buildings together. Many of these companies include magazine companies, an example includes Conde Nast which owns many top magazines which you can probably see in your town newsstands or at your town's local grocery store. Working in a conglomerate you may need to be aggressively curious and a good team player. Benefits for working allows you to move up the career ladder, between different magazines, as positions you think are a good fit. However, a few cons include considerable stress, canceled vacation times and requests, long working days, nights, and even possible weekend works. Materials and stories must be delivered before the deadline no matter the cost, so if you're usually a person who likes to wait the day before, working at a conglomerate is not the place for you as they work under a tight and somewhat strict schedule.
