“Manuel and the Magic Fox” is a retelling of traditional Japanese and Native American folktales. Sedia, in order to create the story she wanted, made a “mashup” of two different folklore traditions. Using this same method, create your own “mashup.” Rewrite a scene from a traditional folk or fairy tale in 300 words or more. You may choose to combine a folktale with a story from another culture, or a more modern tale.
