The fundamental similarity between free will and determinism is that

determinism is the belief that behavior is shaped/determined by internal and/or external forces beyond our control, rather than an individual's will to do something. Example - biological approach - neurotransmission.
free will is The belief that behavior is determined by our own free will and that we have full control over our actions. Example - humanistic psychology such as Maslow.

Because it is an outlet. most people are very shut off so they will write poetry to.. almost rant. sometimes people can’t say their feelings out loud so they make it into an art form that is poetry, and write it down.
