Victorian Embracing  excessive clutter of decoration with ornaments, wallpapers and draperies was the distinguishing feature of Victorian style (1837-1901).  The design movement was largely influenced by the idea of gloating interior cluster of materials as sign of prosperity and wealth. The significant aspect of victorian decor was the pompous use of decor items in display, making it seem more like collection or crowd of items than a sophisticated design pattern. So Victorian design movement was the era that embraced excessive clutter.
