How is this experiment similar to the way a cell membrane works in the body? how is it different? be specific with your response?

This experiment helps to determine the role of the cell membrane, sort the molecules that come in and out thanks to the semi-permeability of the cell membrane and the presence of transmembrane transporters.

A good example to illustrate the functioning of this kind of membrane is dialysis, this is done through a dialyzing membrane that only passes small molecules (that we want to eliminate). Cells and large molecules such as proteins remain trapped in their compartments.
