A living thing represents a small cell or the entire organism which shows the signs of life for example it is composed of one or more cells, these cells can reproduce using the genetic material in the form of DNA. The living thing can sense the stimulus around it and respond accordingly. It obtains energy from the environment in the form of food or any other form of light or chemical energy. It is capable of maintaining the homeostasis.
