It is not advisable to drink sea water, and instead, convert it into fresh water, because the human can only take in a certain amount of salt. Salt water actually is more harmful than not drinking water, as it can damage the internal organs, as well as continually make you thirsty. Instead, you'll have to build a strainer, and clean as much of the salt from the ocean as possible, before drinking it.
