Which is the difference between proteins and carbohydrates, and fats?

Carbohydrates, fats, and proteins are also known as the macronutrients. One requires carbohydrates to provide energy to the bodies, one requires protein to maintain all the glands and muscles in a healthy state, and one needs fats for the production of hormone and for a healthy nervous system.  

Carbohydrates comprise sugars like fruit sugar or table sugar, starches like bread or potatoes, and also fibers. Proteins come majorly from legumes, meats, fish, and nuts. While the fats come from the oils in the nuts, seeds, vegetables, and from the fats in the animals.
