Why is aerobic respiration more beneficial than anaerobic respiration? aerobic respiration can take place with and without oxygen present, but anaerobic respiration can only take place in the absences of oxygen aerobic respiration is quicker than anaerobic respiration aerobic respiration only takes place in the presence of oxygen, therefore it can fully breakdown glucose and produce much more atp than anaerobic respiration
