As per the “Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)” it is recommended that all adults of age 60 or above are at high risk of pneumococcal disease. As per their statistics every year thousands of adults die because of pneumococcal diseases.  

CDC recommends that two series of vaccines against pneumococcal diseases is sufficient to protect adults against this disease:

•PCV13 (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine)

•PPSV23 (pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine)

As per CDC all adults with age 65 or above but since the first patient of 66 years of age is diabetic, he must also get re-vaccinated along with the second patient of age 76 years.
