           According to the research, glossopteris fossil flora used to grow in a subtropical climatic condition, indicating that the Antarctica initially was a warm place that supported plants like glossopteris to flourish. But, later it transformed into a much more colder climatic region.

        Thus, its an important fossil plant that provides evidences that all the continents were once together.
