The following describes which stage: (1) microtubules attached to chromosomes.(2) they then shorten in length, which pulls the homologous chromosomes apart (sister chromatids remain paired) and moving them toward opposite poles.(3) microtubules attached to other microtubules from opposite poles lengthen to elongate the cell.

Anaphase I (Meiosis).

Explanation: In meiosis as in mitosis there's four phases: Profase where the chromosomes are condensed, metaphase where chromosomes are alined in the equatorial plane of the cell, anaphase where chromosomes are pulled toward opposite poles of the cell and telophase where the daughter cells separate. There are many differences between meiosis and mitosis. In mitotic anaphase, sister chromatids are pulled apart and moved towards opposite poles but in meiotic division I,  it is the homologous chromosomes that are separated and the sister chromatids of each one remain paired until anaphase II, where are separated.

the potatoes have high sugar concentrations and although these potatoes were different we could seethe effects that their sugar concentrations had in different environments. for example, the potatoes in sample a, were placed in pure water. this created a hypertonic environment and caused the potatoes to draw in water from its surroundings. we saw the opposite happen with the potatoes in sample b when placed in the sodium chloride solution. the potatoes in this case were in a hypotonic solution and therefore lost water to their surroundings.
