Why do we care how bacteria reproduce? conjugation is a huge problem for humans. in bacteria, conjugation can occur even between individuals of different species. the dna on plasmids often allows bacteria to grow in the presence of antibiotics, drugs intended to kill them. when these plasmids are shared by conjugation and many different plasmids are accumulated, new strains of bacteria are created. these new strains can fight off many, perhaps all, known types of antibiotics. this is becoming a big concern in human health. research multiple antibiotic resistance. then, list a few ways in which human activities contribute to this problem.
