Nucleic acids are the tiny biomolecules that are vital for all forms of life. RNA and DNA are the types of nucleic acid. When first studied, nucleic acids were found to be discovered in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells only. Now, it is known and proved to be found on both prokaryotic and eukaryote.

Nucleic acids are generally nucleic acids that carry out the processes of the cell, particularly the expression and regulation of genes. DNA gives the code for the activities done by the cell while RNA transforms the code into proteins and performs various cellular functions.
