Know the three layers of earth, what they’re made of and their temperatures

1. Crust: The crust is mostly made of oxygen, silicon, aluminum, iron, calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium. Its temperature is about 500 °C (900 °F) to 1,000 °C (1,800 °F) ranging from depth.

2. Mantle: The mantle is mostly made of rock containing silicon, iron, magnesium, aluminum, oxygen and other minerals.
Its temperature is about 1000° Celsius (1832° Fahrenheit) near its boundary with the crust, to 3700° Celsius (6692° Fahrenheit) near its boundary with the core.

3. Outer Core: The outer core is mostly made of metals like iron and nickel, as well as small amounts of other substances. The outer core is responsible for Earth's magnetic field. The outer cores temperature is about 4400 °C (7952 °F) in the outer regions to 6100 °C (11012 °F)near the inner core.

4. Inner Core: The inner core is mostly made of iron and nickel, but 5 percent of it has been a mystery for a long time. This new study concludes that it's most likel. The inner cores temperature is about 6,000 C (about 10,800 F). That's as hot as the surface of the sun.

Iwould say overuse ( but not 100% sure ) in the u.s. we tend to overuse water by leaving it running, throwing it away, taking long showers, etc.
