Sugar maple trees are very sensitive to warm temperatures and do not grow and reproduce well south of pennsylvania. oaks and hickories, on the other hand, can tolerate a much wider range of temperatures and grow all the way from canada south into georgia and florida. if a hillside in a state north of pennsylvania has mostly oaks and hickories growing on it with very few sugar maples, what can you correctly conclude about the climate?
