the plants that survive with little water are called succulents and they store water for when they need it. succulents don't need as much water as most plants so when they are given water they store it for a really hot day.the plants that survive in very low-light conditions. if you think about dark, rainforest canopies, there are plants that grow in that environment. they have evolutionary adaptations to handle these low-light environments, which include making broad, thin leaves to capture as much sunlight as they can.
