Protons and neutrons are found in nucleus.

The atom is considered as the basic components of matter. Matter refers to the part which has mass and occupies space. The atom is composed of three subatomic particles which are called as electron, neutron, and proton.  

These sub atomic particles have different charges viz, electron is negatively charged, proton is positively charged, and neutron is neutral in charge. These sub atomic particles are located in different places in the atom. The proton and neutron are located in the nucleus whereas the electron is seen revolving around the nucleus.
