What is the difference between a community and population

A population is defined as the group of individuals that belongs to the same species but are isolated from any other groups. They form a relatively small group within an ecosystem and are mainly comprised of one particular species. Within a population, the individuals can freely interbreed.

A community refers to the group of population that are comprised of two or more different type of species. It cover a large geographical area in a particular time. They forms a large group and are composed of different species that exists together interacting with one another. The breeding is typically absent here.
