Anew altruistic allele arises in a pop. such that individuals w/ the allele give up some personal reproduction in order to their parents raise offspring. instead of producing 6 offspring of their own, individuals w/ the allele produces only 3 offspring. the parents would also normally produce 6 offspring but is able to produce 12 w/ the of the altruistic individual. using hamilton’s rule, determine whether this altruistic allele is likely to increase in freq. in the pop. show work.

An enzymatic hydrolysis of fructose-1-p, fructose-1-p(aq) + h2o(l) - fructose (aq) + pi (aq) was allowed to proceed to equilibrium at 25°c. the original concentration of fructose-1-p was 0.2 m, but when the system had reached equilibrium, the concentration of fructose-1-p was only 6.52 x 10^-5 m. calculate the equilibrium constant for this reaction and the free energy of hydrolysis of fructose-1-p.
