The current plight of the polar bear is an example of a generalist's ability to survive changing environmental conditions a case of overhunting endangered animals a specialized animal's inability to rapidly adapt to a changing environment a wild animal encroaching on human habitats

The present predicament of the polar bear is an illustration of the inability of the specialized animal to briskly amend with the changing environment. The polar bear is found locally in the regions surrounding the Arctic Circle. The polar bears are primarily found nearby the Arctic Ocean, the adjacent landmasses and the neighboring seas.  

The deleterious effects of change in climate are witnessed in each and every parts of the planet, however, the endangerment to the polar bear in the current times has become more seeming. The prevalence of these unique creatures is in abundant threat because of global warming.  

Due to climate change, the melting of Arctic Sea is taking place at a quicker rate, and this brisk loss prevents the polar bears of their usual habitation and hunting seals as the main source of food. Due to the rise in temperature and climate change, the polar bears are prevented from necessary hunting and thus are deprived of food for many weeks. Thus, it can be said that this specialized creature is not able to quickly amend with the change in climate.
