It is one of the reproductive strategy in which the living being i.e animals and plants are subjected to death after a single reproductive period.

As the semelparous individuals produce 2.5 times more then the organism of the other reproductive strategy. As we can just say that a salmon fish will give birth to more then 240 offspring's in a single cycle of reproduction while any other animal or some of the plant will require years to produce 20 or 30 seed or offspring's. Which makes it quite simple about why the  semalparity is more important to the environment as whole.
