The idea that eurkaryotes developed from one larger prokaryote

The hypothesis that eukaryotic cells evolved from a symbiotic association of prokaryotes—endosymbiosis—is particularly well supported by studies of mitochondria and chloroplasts, which are thought to have evolved from bacteria living in large cells.

              EndoSymbiosis is the process by which we study that the eukaryotes have developed from the prokaryotes.

Explanation:

                     Prokaryotes are the cell that have no prominent nuclei and organelies. Evolution is the phenomena in which the prokaryotes have developed to eukaryotas by the process of endosymbiosis  ( the process in which a large prokaryotic cell engulf the other bacteria and the bacteria survive inside the cell ). E.g When prokaryotic cell engulf aerobic bacteria that settle inside as a mitochondria.The same way the auto synthetatic becteria also settle inside as chloroplast.
