Overproduction  can be defined as the situation where by  each organism generation in a particular environment has more offspring that can be supported by the environment they dwell. Since the number of offspring exceeds what the environment they are can support, then competition for survival sets in for survival in the environment. as a result, traits that are helpful for survival and reproduction are being passed from individual to  offspring. These helpful traits help the offspring to survive competition.
