One form of genetic engineering is the alteration of the natural frequency of a trait in a population is known as selective
breeding. Selective breeding is performed on plants and animals. When two animals both displaying a desired trait are
purposely breed then the frequency of that trait in a species increases. We use selective breeding for ornamental and
agricultural plants and for pets and livestock. Another form of genetic engineering involves changing the natural DNA
sequence of an organism. The use of recombinant DNA and cloning are all forms of genetic engineering
