A) Germination of seed: The process in which a small plant (seedling) is emerged from a seed is called seed germination.

B) 1) In pollination, pollen transfer from male to the stigma of female while fertilization is the joining of sperm and egg cells.

2) Pollination occurs outside the flower while fertilization occurs inside the flower.

the corpus luteum secretes estrogens and progesterone. the latter hormone causes changes in the uterus that make it more suitable for implantation of the fertilized ovum and the nourishment of the embryo. if the egg is not fertilized, the corpus luteum becomes inactive after 10–14 days, and menstruation occurs.
