Suponga que existen tres neuronas presinápticas, A, B y C, que establecen sinapsis contiguas en la misma neurona postsináptica D. No se inicia ningún impulso nervioso en la neurona postsináptica como resultado de impulsos nerviosos individuales en A, B o C, ni tampoco si los impulsos llegan simultáneamente a las tres, a A y B o a A y C. Solamente si llegan juntas los impulsos a las sinapsis de B y C, D disparará un impulso. Explique estos resultados en términos de los neurotransmisores excitadores e inhibidores y de sus efectos en el potencial S de membrana de la célula postsináptica . Ayuda que no entendi nada...
