This increase occurs in the concentration of carbondioxide gas causes global warming because carbondioxode is a greenhouse gas that prevents the reflected sunlight from going into the atmosphere. This carbondioxide comes to the ocean and react with water forming carbonic acid which makes the water acidic and lowers the pH.
