Discussion Forum Rubric
In the Discussion Forums, students interact with the instructor and colleagues to explore questions and comments related to
course concepts. Working toward mastery of the course learning objectives, the successful student is active and visible beginning
on Wednesday each week. Discussion threads are due by Sunday, 11:59 P. M. Eastern Time for the current week. Graded
discussion point values vary by course, so the rubric is applied based on each course's assigned Discussion Forum points
Discussion Forums are graded on three elements:
• Timeliness: Student posts by Wednesday in each discussion
• Frequency: Student posts on three separate days in each discussion
• Quality: Posts are graded as high, medium, or low quality
Attached below you will find the grading Rubric for discussion questions.
