During translation process, the messenger RNA (mRNA) carrying gene template to synthesize a protein, can allow one gene to produce varrying protein products.

Secondly, through the process of gene regulation (in which the gene is turn ON or OFF, causing an increase or decrease in specific gene products formation), one (1) gene can produce a series of different protein products.

This can be due to RNA processing,which involves the addition of methylated guanine residue to the cap and RNA splicing. Theses two events ensured that a particular gene can not code for the same protein. The RNA splicing removed unwanted introns segments and added the useful extons segments together. Over 100 Adenine nucleotide segments are usually added to the 3' ends(polyadenylation) during or immediately after transcription., while methylated guanine is added to the 5'ends to prevent disintegration.

Since these event occurs with every transcription, sequence of bases in mRNA which corresponded with the encoded gene for a particular can not be fixed.This will always changed with each transcription , thus the sequence of bases corresponding to the encoded gene will not be fixed for a specific protein (variation)due to the reshuffle..

Gene regulation.

Since gene regulation determines when RNA occurs, the numbers of RNA created,and the proteins that modulates transcription , therefore this controls how the genes coded for a particular protein.Thus this gives room for variation in the sequence of protein coded for by a particular gene.Since it is the sequence of codon that determines the protein sequence, presence of the same codon, at the same time, as dictated by gene regulation is not likely.Therefore the same gene can not constantly churn out same proteins.
