Homeostasis: It is referred to as the ability of a species to maintain a state of internal balance and changes in outside factors. When calcium levels decrease in the human body, the gland known as parathyroid releases hormones. If calcium levels increase, the thyroid gland helps out the calcium by lowering blood calcium levels and fixing calcium in the bones.

Glucose is known as the basic form of sugar. When glucose levels increase in the human body, the gland which is called Pancreas helps to releases a hormone known as insulin. If blood glucose levels decrease, the liver helps to converts glycogen which is present in the blood to glucose.

for  example, forests have higher evapotranspiration than other ecosystems,  such  as grasslands, because of their deeper roots and greater leaf area. thus forests have a net moistening effect on the atmosphere and become a moisture source for downwind ecosystems.
