Endoplasmic reticulum describes the extensive network of tubers, sacs, and vesicles throughout a cell that provides transport as its main function. Cell walls found in plant cells have the main function of protecting, providing rigidity, strength, and support to the cell. The cell membrane is a semi-permeable membrane which can allow certain things in an out of the cell also providing protection of the interior cell. The main function of the centriole is to aid in the division process in animal cells.
