How does carrying capacity affect the exponential growth?

Carrying capacity affects exponential growth by limiting it. A population cannot grow forever because of the carrying capacity of the environment, or the maximum number of individuals an environment can support without it degrading. In other words, there are only so many resources.

This has resulted in a form of growth that is more commonplace -- logistic growth, although this form of growth isn't entirely accurate either.
