Where is chytrid located?

Chytrid fungi are located somewhere in aquatic environments (somewhere wet) growing on a dead plant or animals matter.

Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd for short) is a member of fungi called Chytrids, which are usually found underwater growing on dead plants or animals matter. It is the only fungus to feed on living animals.

It primarily affects the skin of amphibians, causing the disease known as amphibian chytridiomycosis.
