Bees are responsible for pollinating many agricultural crops. The bees traditionally used for this purpose are often cared for by beekeepers. An invasive species of bees known as Africanized bees entered the United States in the 1990s and has spread throughout the country since then. These bees are very aggressive towards humans, animals, and other insects. Also, they reproduce more quickly and can survive in many more places than native bees.
